Reader Appreciation Tea

We love our readers.  Once a year the Read-Aloud Volunteer Program holds an appreciation tea for our volunteers, sponsored by friends of the program.  We share stories of our reading experiences, remember volunteers who are no longer with us and enjoy a delicious catered high tea. Reader Orientation

Each September, we welcome back our returning readers and introduce new volunteers to our program.   We provide information about each of our schools and a chance to sign up for your day, time and school of choice.  Helpful hints about reading to young children are discussed and a short financial update is presented.  Our orientation is held at the Universalist Unitarian Church of Berkeley, 1 Lawson Rd., Kensington, CA.
