Reader Appreciation Tea

We love our readers.  Once a year the Read-Aloud Volunteer Program holds an appreciation tea for our volunteers.  We share stories of our reading experiences, update volunteers on our fundraising and recruitment activities and enjoy delicious goodies.

Reader Orientation

Each September, we welcome back our returning readers and introduce new volunteers to our program.   We provide information about each of our schools and a chance to sign up for your day, time and school of choice.  Helpful hints about reading to young children are discussed and a short financial update is presented.  Our orientation is held at the Universalist Unitarian Church of Berkeley, 1 Lawson Rd., Kensington, CA.
